Supervisory Nurse

Provide nursing care adhering to established policies and procedures. Ensures medical/nursing documentation and activities for admission, during treatment, and discharge are completed, including coordinating medical appointments. Develops Nursing policies and procedures. Participates in quality improvement activities for nursing. Participates in meeting accreditation standards. Serves on planning committees. Supervision of staff including performance evaluation, training needs, providing direction and work assignments. Education:
A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (external link), Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (external link), Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (external link), or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (external link) at the time the degree was obtained. Degree from Foreign Nursing School:
Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (external link) is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools. Licensure:
For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination (external link). In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. GS-11:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 grade level AND possession of a diploma, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree from a professional nursing educational program OR Successful completion of a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from a professional nursing educational program or related medical science field. Experience:
Experience in providing direction, leadership, guidance, professionalism, supervision, and evaluation to the nursing staff. Experience with the hospital Performance Improvement Coordinator to assure compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) Standards. Experience in Evidence-Based Practices through maintaining knowledge of current trends and interventions of all aspects of nursing care. Experience of a wide range of nursing concepts, principles, and practices to perform highly specialized nursing assignments of advanced nature and considerable difficulty. Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
