Supervisory Visitor Use Assistant

You will evaluate work performance of subordinate staff and recommends appropriate awards to recognize exceptional performance or acts to deal with inadequate performance through counseling, training, coaching and Other means. You will identify and provide for employee and volunteer orientation and training and developmental needs. You will prepare remittance reports and bank deposits for funds collected but may not prepare these reports for any shift for which they collect fees- Pulls vaults, canisters, counts and opens registration envelopes. You will serve as a front-line representative of the agency. You will provide public orientation and explanations of current park events, resource management projects, management policies and Legislative updates on issues affecting the natural historical and/or cultural preservation of the area. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-02/28/2020-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect either full-time or 40 hours per week. If a part-time work schedule is reflected, the hours must be annotated to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience. To qualify for Supervisory Visitor Use Assistant, GS-0303-06 grade level, you must possess one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
Experience:
At least one full year of general experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors).You must include hours per week worked in your resume. This experience includes activities such as:
Experience interviewing candidates for vacancies and recommending selections, promotions and reassignments of employees. Experience giving advice, counsel and instruction to employees on both work and administration matters. Experience setting work unit goals in accordance with higher level organizational goals. Experience:

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
