Maintenance Worker

Performs a variety of duties of general nature in the routine operation, maintenance, and minor repairs of structures, utility and electrical components, campgrounds, picnic areas, and visitor centers. Cleans restrooms, comfort stations, offices, shops, and other public use areas. Provides janitorial services as well as effecting repairs such as unplugging toilets, replacing washers, and minor repairs to surfaces such as walls, floors, and partitions. Performs general grounds maintenance utilizing push mowers, weedeaters, riding mower, and all terrain vehicles. Cleans and repairs grills and tables, collects and disposes of trash and litter, rebuilds tent pads, and does minor sign repair. Required to render moderate to heavy assistance at times to other buildings operations. Work would include snow removal around facilities, storm cleanup, painting, utility work, and assisting journeyman level employees in completing maintenance projects.
