Coordinate and plan daily classroom activities and lesson plans. Conduct individual assessments of behavior and learning progression. Perform administrative duties such as creation of IEP plans, using electronic systems to track academic data, participate in weekly multi-disciplinary Treatment Team meetings etc Set short and long term goals for optimum student success. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Bachelor's degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution that included or was supplemented by supervised student teaching, and at least one course in each of the following areas:
general psychology, human development, history and/or philosophy of education, and teaching methods at the learning level of the position to be filled, i.e., elementary or secondary learning level. For secondary school teaching positions, applicants must also have had at least 24 semester hours (or equivalent) of course work in each of the principal fields of instruction. or Combination of education and experience - Applicants who have completed a full 4-year course of study in an accredited or pre-accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's degree but who do not meet the specific course requirements shown above meet minimum qualification requirements if they have completed at least one full academic year of professional teaching experience at the elementary or secondary school level as appropriate to the position to be filled. Professional teaching experience is defined as full and primary responsibility for the instruction of assigned students under general supervision in a recognized or accredited school or other accredited educational institution. This includes responsibility for preparation and presentation of lessons and the evaluation of students' progress throughout the learning period, including a determination of the students' success or failure according to established criteria. or Teacher certification or licensure in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Qualifications:
GS-09:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-8 grade level.NOTE:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks. Specialized
Experience:
Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.Specialized Experience Defined:
Experience facilitating daily classroom activities and lesson plans. Experience coordinating with other schools or educational professionals to provide continuity of educational goals and lesson plans. Experience assessing skills, vocational, and pre-GED evaluations as appropriate. Experience grading and assessing student assignments and documenting academic and behavioral activities as appropriate. AND MUST MEET Selective Placement Factor:
MUST possess an active and valid teacher certification or licensure in the a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
