Administrative Assistant

Budget work comprises the majority of the duties for this position. The incumbent coordinates the Division budget and finance functions; prepares program documents and records expenditures from purchase documents. Duties also include providing monthly statements of commitments, obligations and status of funds, with recommendations to supervisor; recommending program adjustments to resolve discrepancies. The incumbent will be responsible for presenting programs with recommendations to program managers and other park or regional staff and performing expenditure transfers in reimbursable and clearing accounts. Works closely with the Division of Administration budget analyst. Maintains records, issues and receives cards as accountable person for the Division. Division property inventory coordinator:
Coordinates timely and accurate completion of property inventories, Reports of Survey, etc. Travel Manager for the division:
Prepares travel documents (authorization and voucher). Makes travel arrangements. Types correspondence, memoranda, reports, work schedules, etc., from drafts or notes provided, using word processors; maintains tape and diskette backup files. May serve as payroll coordinator for the park. May input payroll records (T&A) into database. Prepares and submits Personnel Actions (SF-52) to the Servicing Human Resources Office. May provide leadership and guidance to clerks in the division. Coordinates procurement and account information with clerical and administrative staff throughout the park. Uses computers and appropriate software for data collection, analysis and collating. Prepares reports,forms and tabular material, providing proper spacing, heading and arrangement for ease of understanding and information processing. Maintains central Division files and office files, including contract and project files; withdraws materials from and returns materials to files. Serves as division receptionist; takes, records and distributes mail, telephone, radio and e-mail messages; makes arrangements for division staff and other meetings obtaining information and Select Factor Subsequent to meeting the minimum requirements below, you must also be able to type 40 words per minute (wpm), please indicate in your resume the number of words per minute you can type. To qualify for this position at the GS-06 grade level, you must possess of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples of specialized experience may include:
performing administrative functions (e.g., payroll, personnel, travel, and/or correspondence), using office procedures and equipment, organizing and analyzing numerical information, maintained automated system of program-specific data; scheduled day-to-day office plans and staff schedules; gathered financial data for review and comparison; made travel arrangements and prepared travel authorizations and vouchers; and finalized documents using software applications as electronic mail, spreadsheet, database and graphics. Experience:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as varies.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
