Recreation Specialist Cultural

Plans and organizes hands on activities centered on Native American cultural beliefs to include ceremonies and schedules activities for adolescent Native American Patients. Provide accurate and appropriate historical information and incorporates the appropriate cultural and spiritual beliefs when conducting ceremonies or cultural activities with residents/patients. Teaches multiple areas of Native American arts and crafts, such as wood working, drawing, painting, beadwork, drum/flute/moccasin/medicine bag making, etc? Creates an environment of healing, learning and cooperation among the Native Youth being treated. To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. For positions requiring positive education requirements, or if you are using education to meet all or part of the qualification requirements, you MUST submit a copy of your transcripts or an itemized list of college courses which includes equivalent information from the transcript (course title, semester/quarter hours, and grade/degree earned) in your resume. Education:
Undergraduate and Graduate Education:
Major study -- general recreation, or one of the appropriate fields of recreation such as outdoor recreation; recreation and parks leadership; wild land recreation management; natural resources recreation; youth recreation; public, urban, or community recreation; special populations recreation (e.g., senior citizens, institutional, etc.); or physical education. OR MINIMUM
Qualifications:
GS-09:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 level or master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position being filled. Specialized
Experience:
Experience that demonstrated the ability to apply the principles of one or more specialty areas of recreation. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
Planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, or evaluating community, industrial, outdoor, institutional, or other recreational programs. Planning, establishing, or evaluating a recreational curriculum for junior college or higher academic levels. Instructing in the principles and techniques of recreational program planning and management. Serving in a leadership role in the programs and activities of local, regional, and/or national recreational organizations. AND SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR-SCREEN OUT 1. Experience conducting Native American cultural and spiritual ceremonies to include sweat lodge, smudging, and prayer. AND 2. Skill in at least two of the following Native American arts or crafts; woodworking, stone carving, drawing, painting, beadwork, drum/flute, moccasin making or language. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
