Mental Health Specialist

Provide direct mental health and substance abuse services to adolescent residence. Provide case management services for assigned residents. Complete and maintain all appropriate resident records. Diagnose and treat individuals, families, and groups of people with acute and chronic mental health and substance abuse disorders. To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. For positions requiring positive education requirements, or if you are using education to meet all or part of the qualification requirements, you MUST submit a copy of your transcripts or an itemized list of college courses which includes equivalent information from the transcript (course title, semester/quarter hours, and grade/degree earned) in your resume. Degree:
behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. AND MINIMUM
Qualifications:
GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
Experience providing direct mental health and substance abuse services to adolescents to include assessing, treating, diagnosing and managing adolescent care. Experience providing promotional, educational, and preventative advocacy efforts in the community or to individuals. Experience providing preventative and intervention services to adolescent and provide crisis services and long term treatment and support to adolescents. Experience in Mental Health and Substance Abuse case management and follow up care. OR Education:
two years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree ormaster's or equivalent graduate degree. AND Selective Factor:
Ability to show evidence of possession of one of the following issued by a U.S. State or Territory. LPA- Licensed Psychological Associate OR LCWS Licensed Clinical Social Worker ORL PC - Licensed Professional Counselor OR LACAS - Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist OR CP - Clinical Psychologist.The selected individual is required to obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements. If privileges are not obtained or maintained during employment, the employee will be subject to adverse actions, up to and including removal from Federal service. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
